Arianna is thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to spend her upcoming summer in Santa Barbara, CA as a Clarinet Fellow at the prestigious 2017 Music Academy of the West Summer School & Festival! All of the MAW fellows are awarded a full scholarship, including tuition, room and board, and local transportation, and they have the opportunity to study, rehearse, and perform for 8-weeks with world-class faculty and top-notch peers. Arianna will be one of four clarinetists at the MAW, and she will study with clarinetist Richie Hawley. She will also have the opportunity to perform under the baton of some of today’s leading conductors, such as Alan Gilbert (conductor for the New York Philharmonic).

Students at the MAW also have many opportunities to rehearse and perform chamber music, perform in masterclasses, and be involved in the MAW’s Wellness Program.
