In one week, Arianna will begin her internship with the Society for Chamber Music in Rochester (SCMR). SCMR was founded in 1977 with the main goal of creating an outlet for principal players of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) and faculty at the Eastman School of Music to rehearse and perform chamber music in the Rochester area. SCMR’s mission statement is as follows:

“The Society for Chamber Music in Rochester (SCMR) presents Chamber Music concerts featuring musicians of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra and the Eastman School of Music. We perform great works of chamber music of all periods and styles.  Our outreach mission teaches and reaches students of all ages and inspires chamber music’s ongoing creation through composition competitions.”

For the Fall 2016 semester, Arianna will be SCMR’s Audience Satisfaction Manager, and she will work closely with Meg Burton-Tudman, Director of PR and Operations, and Erik Behr and Juliana Athayde, Co-Artistic Directors and Principal oboe and Concertmaster, respectively, of RPO. This internship is supported by the Arts Leadership Certificate Program at the Eastman School of Music.
